carousel tea

12Jan10

May I take a break from extracting money from the state to present, ladies and gentlemen, the prettiest damn dishes I’ve ever seen.

On hooks!

I love the gilding..it’s gunmetal silvery.

A cursory search would have us believe these were made for FW Woolworth in 1950. They came from Nick’s Papou.

Carousel!

Look at that design! So pretty. Like if Mary Blair had exactly 16 seconds to design a pattern for dishes, this is what would have happened. There are 12 plates, 6 saucers, 5 teacups, a creamer, a sugar pot, and a salt & pepper set, and they are NOT mine.
